The transparency must be ensured in the upcoming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan upon the president’s instructions, Zeynal Nagdaliyev, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, the head of the department on work with regional bodies and local self-government bodies, said Aug. 21.
He made this statement at a meeting in the Central Election Commission (CEC) held for the chairmen of district election commissions.
He said that all necessary conditions were created for these election commissions.
“The conditions were created for free voting of citizens,” he said. “In this regard, the necessary measures were conducted.”
Nagdaliyev said that equal conditions must be created for all political parties upon the president’s instructions.
“The indoor and outdoor sites were allotted in each of 125 constituencies,” he said. “This will be announced during the campaign period.”
He said that the monitoring associated with agitation stands was held.
“Old stands will be restored,” he said. “The campaign leaflets will not be stuck on historical monuments.”
