Some Azerbaijani TV channels have violated the law on advertising, the chairman of Azerbaijani National Broadcasting Council, Nushirevan Maharramli told Trend on Feb. 4.
“Currently there is an ongoing monitoring associated with the implementation of the advertising legislation and violations have been detected. Therefore these TV channels were warned and a measure will be taken in their regard,” Maharramli said.
Regarding the issue of increasing the sound during the commercials, he noted that this issue is within the competence of the advertising companies, but, of course, the channels should also undertake certain policies and take into account these factors.
Maharramli added that the issue of indicating the commercials’ duration is also the responsibility of the channels themselves.
