“There are nearly 200 “racketing” newspapers in Azerbaijan. We publicized 80 of them and 30 “racketing” newspapers will be announced soon”, Chairman of Press Council Aflatun Amashov told APA. He said organizations, offices and publishing houses were also informed about the “racketing” newspapers. According to Amashov, 3500 mass media organizations were registered in the country and 3000 of them are newspapers. “2500 newspapers are inactive and therefore their registration will be annulled”.
