The Cabinet of Ministers was commissioned with prepare and submit to the Azerbaijani Presidentthe descriptions, specifications and sample of identity cards, containing an electronic carrier (chip), within three months.

Also was tasked to insert in the electronic carrier (chip) the data on the place of residence and marital status of a citizen, as well as his/her fingerprints and other biometric indicators.
