PACE intends to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan on all directions, as well as within the organization’s structures, PACE President Pedro Agramunt told reporters in Baku Feb. 29.
The matter rests in expansion of cooperation with the PACE Secretariat, the Venice Commission and others, he explained.
Agramunt said that during his current visit to Baku, he intends to discuss future cooperation with the officials of the Azerbaijani parliament.
In general, the relations between Azerbaijan and PACE stand at a good level, however there are issues that need to be discussed, he said.
Agramunt arrived in Azerbaijan on Feb. 29.
During the visit he plans to meet with the Azerbaijani parliament’s speaker Ogtay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, as well as hold a number of other high-level meetings.
