OSCE holds trainings to increase professional skills of lawyers in Azerbaijan. OSCE launched to hold courses together with court-legal council, the Prosecution General and bar association in Azerbaijan on June 18. Judges, public prosecutors and lawyers will participate in the trainings to be held 3 days. Their aim is to teach them standards of just court trial and to increase effectiveness of their introduction in practice and to bring rationality of Azerbaijani justice system in accordance with the international norms.
OSCE Baku office rendered active support to increase professionalism of judges and employees of the Prosecution General over previous years, the ambassador, head of the office Bilge Jankorel said during his speech. “I hope these trainings will be useful for participants and increase professional level of judges, state prosecutors and lawyers,” the ambassador said.
The trainings consist of a workshop and frame-up court trial. Special attention will be paid to introduction of just court trial and communication of participants of the process during hearings.
Certificates were granted to participants of courses at the meeting. Special courses were held in OSCE Baku’s office. Five lawyers, judges and prosecutors participated in these courses. They got necessary skills for employees of corresponding agencies to conduct trainings.
