“I have told that shooting of civil aircraft is unacceptable.I’m glad that Azerbaijan has changed its position and tries to protect its rights in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)”, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza told journalists.
Asked about the opening of the airport in Khankendi and arrange of flights, Matthew Bryza did not want to give a more specified explanation.
“Let the co-chairs visit the region and express opinion, this would be more correct. I can only say that the planes from Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan fly through the air space of Armenia and this is considered acceptable,” he said.
