The agenda of the meeting will be discussed at a meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives in Kiev on Feb.8. The Permanent Representatives will consider proposals in the draft agenda of the CIS HGC in the first reading. It is expected that the draft agenda will include issues relating to free trade, innovation cooperation, food safety, consumer rights and the peaceful use of atomic energy.
In addition to economic documents, the heads of governments will discuss a number of issues concerning humanitarian cooperation.
The permanent representatives also intend to form a draft agenda for the CIS Foreign Ministerial Council’s next meeting in Kiev.
The Ministerial Council is expected to consider about 20 draft documents regulating cooperation within the commonwealth in various fields. It is planned that foreign ministers will discuss a draft statement by heads of states in connection with the 20th anniversary of the commonwealth.
The draft agenda will also address cooperation among CIS countries in the sphere of security and migration, culture and science, youth policy and education.
