European Union has spread the declaration connected to the presidential elections conducted in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Embassy in France which chairs European Union told to APA. In the declaration it is stated that European Union notes the amendments to the Election Code which have been made according to some recommendations of the Venice Committee and Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights: “Taking into consideration organizing of public debates, conducting of voting and accounting of votes European Union states that these elections haven’t been conducted in line with the international standards. European Union insistently calls Azerbaijan state bodies to fulfill the international commitments on democratic pluralism and Mass Media. It affirms that they intend to support the development of democratic institutions in Azerbaijan within the European Neighborhood Policy.
Except the members of the European Union the candidates for the organization-Macedonia, Croatia, the members and potential candidates of Stabilization and Association Process Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, the members of European Independent Exchange Association and the members of European Economic Area Island and Norway joined this declaration. The head of polling station 15, district 40 will be punished.
