The European Court of Human Rights has passed two resolutions on Azerbaijan. The resolutions were passed on complaints by the Azerbaijan Public Association for the Nature Protection and Rahib Maksimov- Chingiz Askerov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Azerbaijani government to the European Court, told Trend News. Decisions will be announced on Oct. 8.
The Public Association for the Nature Protection was liquidated by the court order. The association is dissatisfied with this decision.
Rahib Maximov appealed to the European Court in connection with the fact that his participation had not been provided when considering the appeal in the Supreme Court. Both complaints are related to violation of the Article 6 of the Convention (right to a fair trial).
Asgarov said Azerbaijan and the European Court are holding correspondences on 60 complaints. So far, the European Court has passed 18 resolutions on Azerbaijan.
