The EU welcomes the successful realization of the first phase of visa liberalization action plan by Georgia, the European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos said.
He made the remarks Nov. 17 at a meeting with Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
The PM’s press service said the commissioner expressed readiness to help Georgia in an equally successful implementation of the plan’s second phase.
The first mission will arrive in Georgia on Nov. 24 to this end.
Aside from that, during the meeting, the Georgian PM touched upon concrete results achieved by Georgia in the implementation of the visa liberalization action plan.
