Experts of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and Health Ministry prepared new document for specification of invalidity and the document will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Medical-social expert commissions for specification of invalidity were improved in recent years and the new document would accelerate this process further, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Natig Mammadov told APA. “Criterions on specification of invalidity of 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups were approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 1997. We specified these criterions again together with the Health Ministry”. The deputy minister said the new document would be different from 1997 criterions. “In 1997 and before some medical procedures were not carried out, bute today there are serious modern check-up technologies in cardiology, ophthalmology and other fields in Azerbaijan. New technologies are used in check-up process. Earlier we sent 100 patients abroad for treatment, but now this figure reduced for 5 times. There are enough medical technologies and equipments in Azerbaijan. Therefore we should change criterions of 1997”.
Mammadov said that invalids specified before 1997 and until the approval of the new document would not be sent to the additional check-ups.
