The Azerbaijan Press Council will discuss the state of children and youth publications. “The Press Council initiated to hold a roundtable discussion on “The role of children and youth publications in the Azerbaijani media: yesterday, today and tomorrow “,” the Council told Trend News on Oct. 26.
At a 90-year anniversary of the “Youth of Azerbaijan” newspaper which is celebrated on Oct. 28 is scheduled for debate about the creative features and problems of media operating in the field of children and youth publications.
More than 4,000 media outlets were registered in Azerbaijan. Currently only 600 of them function. Nearly 400 newspapers and magazines are published and more than 20 television channels function. There are about 50 electronic media outlets, 20 news agencies, and the rest are the Internet resources in Azerbaijan.
