MP Azay Guliyev said Azerbaijan adequately responded to this action of Armenians, but US Ambassador to Azerbaijan didn’t take an adequate stand on this issue. “The ambassador attempted to make parallels between the flights of Azerbaijani planes to Nakhchivan and Armenia’s flights to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Representatives of the US Administration shouldn’t commit such errors in their statements”, said the parliamentarian.

MP Elman Mammadov said this airport was located not in Khankendi, but in other occupied territory – Khojaly. “Armenians try to extend the Khojlay airport and introduce it as an international airport”.

MP Fazail Aghamali accused the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza of the pro-Armenian position. “He is still in his pro-Armenian uniform. I consider that Matthew Bryza should be attentive in his statements”.
