Ceylanoglu visited the memorials of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and his wife Zarifa Aliyeva at the Alley of Honor, Azerbaijani and Turkish martyrs’ memorials at the Alley of Martyrs and then was welcomed in a solemn ceremony at the Defense Ministry.

Azerbaijani and Turkish delegations held a large meeting. Safar Abiyev welcomed the Turkish delegation headed by Ceylanoglu and said friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are based on the national and statehood interests of the two countries. The Turkish guest shared his ideas and emphasized the importance of further strengthening of this friendship.

The prospects of the development of defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey were on agenda of the meeting.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic and Turkish defense attaché to Azerbaijan, general Ozhan Ayas also attended the meeting.
