Azerbaijan and Pakistan intend to strengthen economic cooperation.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov held a meeting with Finance Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistani biggest daily Business Recorder reported on May 5.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional and international problems, Business Recorder reported.
The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation level between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Ishaq Dar congratulated Azerbaijan with holding of the annual meeting of the governors of board of the Asian Development Bank in Baku and wished good luck at the upcoming first European Games.
The sides stressed their intention to continue mutual support in the Nagorno-Karabakh and Kashmir conflicts. The ministers stressed the need to raise the trade and economic cooperation to the level of political relations between the countries.
“Pakistan’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Khalid Usman Qaiser, his counterpart in Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov and other officials also attended the meeting,” Business Recorder reported.
