ICRC initiates dialogue between parties to find missing Azerbaijani servicemen

Azerbaijani state authorities have appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regarding the two servicemen who supposedly went missing on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops on June 23.

The ICRC, as a neutral mediator, has began to conduct dialogue between the parties to determine the fates of these persons, Ilaha Huseynova, head of Communication Department of the ICRC Baku Office told APA

On June 23, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported about the disappearance of two soldiers.

On June 23, two Azerbaijani extended servicemen – junior sergeants Musa Musayev and Tural Yolchuyev, moving toward a position along the contact line on the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district, supposedly got lost in a forested mountainous area and found themselves on the opposite side.
