Several proposals were made at the conference on “Tourism, problems and development perspectives in Azerbaijan” which held by the participation of entrepreneurs and representatives of state bodies, in Azerbaijan Entrepreneurship Confederation.
The proposals cover exemption of tourism centres from VAT for 5 years, issues on doubling of switching limit of annual turnover in tourism firms, hotels and recreation centres for individuals and legal entities to the VAT.
Besides, the businessmen consider expedient the reduction of taxes from the salaries of employees in recreation centres and hotels in regions to 15% and increase of the means granted from the state budget for the Trade Unions.
At the same time, it was offered NESF to allocate long-term loans for development of tourism and banks to reduce the interest rates.
At the same time, businessmen make proposals to exempt the equipments, including hotel clothes and small household items from customs duties and taxes.
It was also offered the licences granted to the tourism firms to be distributed to the rates depending on work experiences. Besides, it was offered the reports for SSPF and statistical agencies to be accepted in e-form.
Several projects for support of the state to the strengthening of tourist routes were offered. Thus, it was offered to construct a sea port near the Nabran settlement for the tourists going to Nabran.
Besides, it was offered to supply the recreation centres in regions with natural gas, apply the preferential group prices for receiving of tourists among the tourist firms and hotels.
Note that, these proposals are planned to be submitted to the separate ministries and government with a detailed version.
