A Turkish Airlines plane which was sent to Libyan city of Benghazi to evacuate Turkish citizens, returned to Istanbul after it was not allowed to land at airport by Libyan authorities.

The security forces were driven out by the demonstrators into the airport in Benghazi.

Earlier opposition supporters seized and set the government and national television buildings a fire. The street fighting is continued in the Libyan capital.
