The international conference on “Dialog between religions” will be carried out in Baku on early October 2009. The most authoritative religious figures will participate at the meeting, head of the Office for Caucus Muslims Sheyhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has informed at the press conference held today. According to him this kind of conference has never been held in Azerbaijan before: “Because the religious figures who will be participating at the conference have never had chance to come to Azerbaijan before. It is also possible that Pope of Rome will participate at the conference”. Sheyhulislam says that Azerbaijan has a chance to become the Makka of all religions. “This is the reason that we have to show ourselves and our culture to all religions. We have to demonstrate the world that Azerbaijan has very rich culture. Let the religious figures leaving Azerbaijan deliver their favorable thoughts to the world about Azerbaijan”.-Pashazade stated.
