The head of the Parliament Oktay Asadov received the head of OSCE Election Observation Mission Boris Frlec. According to the information given by Parliament Press Service to APA during the meeting O. Asadov stated that the appropriate work was carrying out in order to raise benefited from the European values the legislation system of Azerbaijan up to the world standards.
The speaker also notified that in order to hold fair, transparent and democratic presidential elections the appropriate work was carrying out and the amendments to the Election Code and to the law on Freedom of Assembly had been done.
B. Frlec appreciated the amendments done to the Election Code and to the law on Freedom of Assembly: “The present legislative base of Azerbaijan gives every kind of opportunity to hold the presidential elections in a democratic way”. He believes that the presidential elections will be democratic, free and transparent.
